Responsible for keeping track of the shooting – what has been shot, what changes were made etc. The script supervisor keeps track of every shot, prop and all details. Often he or she takes photographs of the set in order to be able to reconstruct or details. All this is aimed at keeping the continuity of the film. Therefore the person is also called: continuity person.

The script supervisor’s notes are often useful for the editor.
